Obama Explains National Anthem Stance Sun, 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played. Senator Obama Live on Sunday states, "As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides", Obama said. "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression". And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped or something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song "I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing." If that were our anthem, then I might salute it. "We should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as redesigning our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the le vel of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we as a Nation of warring people, should conduct ourselves as the nations of Islam, whereas peace prevails, perhaps a state or period of mutual concord would exist between our governments. When I become President, I will seek a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation have placed upon the nations of Islam an unfair injustice.

My wife disrespects the Flag for many personal reasons. Together she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past, many years ago. "She has her views and I have mine". Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put aside my hatred. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path of hope. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America ."

i think obama is a great guy bt i really think MCcain has more experiance the only thing i have a problem with is him trying 2 spread the wealth around i mean like if u work hard and ilke u just like lost ur job thats one thing bt if ur a personwho does'nt work hard at all and just expects free like money then thats a problem . for example if you got like straite "As "and another got all Fs on their report card and you had 2 give some of your As to the person who earned all Fs which they didnt work hard for and u did then that is a problem. he also wants to raise taxes so people have to work extra hard to make extra money plus we r going though like a economic crises and he wants 2 raise r taxes?i know change is like good but like this kind of change idk? so, i pick mccain for president bt obama is a great guy but idk for president.

If Obama wins presidency, he will make weak/already dependent Americans to be TOTALLY dependent on the U.S. government. If all of you think that the amount of money spent on the Iraq War is bad, you should see the numbers that the U.S. spends for people who can't make a living for themselves. Obama will only make these people better off without hard work instead of making them work to make a living. Personally, I don't know what change we can believe when it is coming from a man that will burn this one-of-a-kind country to the point where it will be any other country.......I hope this thread has convinced some people othewise.
VOTE MCAIN! He will lead the U.S. into a state where all Americans will be fully independent and will be able to work and make goals and work their way up the ladder to make a living for theirselves and their families! - Can someone please tell me the advantages of voting for Obama because I am still not getting why anyone would vote for him....I am just curious.......email me at lgdamasceno@aol.com or reply to this thread.
